the futurarctica

the futurarctica

if youre reading this then i must be sorry

if you happen to cast a glance upon these words

you know me and you know me well

and the new you knew me once too

back before the glaciers slid into your lives

before the mammoth sailed across your plains

before the wind starred in your garden of unearthly delights

before that strange sweet thing which eats you all alive had manifested last winter

and even before when i wandered

and even before that when all is one

then then then

just then

just then

forgive my imposition but an ancient resonance beckons….a parallel impression upon the shards of time and tide…you may have an affinity, if the skins of former things speak their prophecy true

Pentecost Sunday is when we met you. Receiving and believing in the connections “that keep the stars apart.”

And the song I was writing is left undone
I don’t know why I spend my time
    Writing songs I can’t believe
With words that tear it all away……
    And stray to rhyme

My new creative output Mr Kilbey is madrigals. Madrigals for 3 voices and a recorder
My lyrics are about space age or medieval things. That’s all I ever related to the 1800s must have been so formally bland it
Would have taken a sturdy heart to bear it. Things like top hats and bad symphonic music
With no flavor. Whereas those old minstrels. It’s no wonder you can’t find
Any of their music. They never wrote it down. Seems to me writing never appeared
In England til the Germans came. Beowulf sounds pretty German to me. Socrates and Jesus never
Formally wrote. And they had the best stuff! It’s a strange question to write or not to write
But I always say whoever. “anonymous” was he was the best composer. Even better than dowland.
