Total blocking of natural neuro-transmitters happening here. Oh dear, Steve, it is so hard to get off that pharmaceutical high, eg, sugar, coffee, alcohol, drugs. The only path to true peace is abstinence. Are we born to be cursed forever, us addicts? xxx

that was lovely, thank you for the tour.

when i was a kid, i took a class in how to culture bonsai. much of it i have forgotten, but the thing i remember most was that there was a little boy in the class with me, and he was blind. but, regardless, i learned that everyone can see a tree.

I had a bonsai fig just like that a boyfriend gave me years ago. It thrived for about 12 years, then died suddenly after torrential downpours rotted its roots. Kissing your plants definitely makes them flourish! (my fig died 'cos I ignored it & didn't realise its' demise 'til it was too late)

I like the strong contrast/graininess of your footage, great look to it (is it pre- dawn?) The quality of the light & the cry of sea-birds makes me homesick for oceanic Sydney, I always lived next to the sea there……

Great to see you smile Mr K, you often look very serious in pix you post, & your smile really does light up your face. Lovely!

jeez, i keep killing cacti too. love to have em around the house, but they always dry up or rot from the inside and make an astral exit.

    Good on you Steve.

Trust you memories brought deep pleasure as your music has for us.

    Thanks.

    The Operetta vid is great.

May I suggest the amazing pre-dinosaur Woolamai Pine in a pot, as a xmas tree. The small ones are much cheaper now, and it's pretty local to Sydney area, amazingly.

Happy birthday to your dad. Gorgeous bonsai fig you've got there. Still haven't figured out how to keep a bonsai alive for long, but I've got a lovely fig tree in my back garden which originated from Cyprus and they're amazing trees. Bonsais are especially magical, but what is the secret to not killing them?

    Steve,

Happy Birthday to your dad, it must be hard and I dread the day. Nice to see your room and parts of your home, it reminded of that mtv show they used to do. Never liked it but they never put you on there either. Maybe we will get the rest of the tour soon. Anyway thanks for the videos and we look forward to the upcoming tour. Any new items to look forward to at the merch table this tour? I know you have a lot coming up this year as far as realeases. When can we get some dates? see you soon,

Great as always to see ya! Guess I haven't piped up much lately. Just checkin'in here and there. I can never go too long without the full dose of TTB. ๐Ÿ™‚ I sincerely miss it when I get too distracted by life. Been a little crazy lately I suppose…

Steve, here's wishing a special toast to your dear dad. Happy Birthday to dear ol' Les!!

Like the grim face on the cathedral floor…listening to Hunky Dory this morning with my earl Grey tea. He's chameleon corinthian and caricature…so to you King of Oblivian that moment of tree kissing was sublime and the birdsong echoing pure poetry. I dream I'm safe in my hotel womb. Have you seen Martin Sharp's exhibition yet? you should…it's pure magic. Luna Park, Tiny Tim, Eternity and dreams. @Museum of Sydney until 14th March

Enjoyed the tour, loved the bonsai fig too, which is obviously flourished with the love you transmit to it. Had the same problem with a cactus years ago, and when it ballooned up, I realised Iโ€™d over watered it and thought I could just prick it a few times to release the excess fluid and it would be ok. Guess it doesnโ€™t work that way, but then again it had pricked me often enough!

Nice that you mentioned your Dad too. Having recently finished reading TOIP, heโ€™d sounded a real character and definitely a father to be proud of.
