Sometimes I take TTB for granted.
I apologise. You're Steve effing Kilbey!!
A group of us have been talking about you tonight. You've been such an influence on us……even the sad fools who've drifted away over the years and are only now coming back. All are loving U#23, the ep's and pk.
As for me? I'm ALWAYS in your corner. I promise.

Creative talent at its best and well worth the wait.

Loved the music and was enamoured with the visual effects.

However, I missed my SK/ttb fix so much on 18th; I had to console myself with a trip to the merch!!

and steve, of course you already know you don't have to justify yourself to anybody or for anything. where the hell do they get off? those who know know what you have bequethed … can't help but wonder, though, that your family members must stumble in on some weird shit when they walk into that room of yours without knocking. Oh yeah, dad's painted in green and dancing in front of the computer again … technology, what a crazy mofo that is … and thanks for getting me onto larry david-freakin' hilarious.

How no mic or preamp? Are you just singing into the computer mic and plugging yer guitar straight in the computer?

Pharoh is one of my favorite songs. Probably not yours. I play it to myself on an acoustic guitar and it sounds good to me. I'm trying to get back into music w/other people. Not looking forward to other opinions though. I always wanted a "band of brothers" type situation. Where you get in a room and you all just seem to know what to do without much being said and everyone compromises their ego. That would be great. Does that happen in the Church?

No Steve, Keep justifying yerself; just as they keep trying to knock you down. Keep creating. Keep going. Think of it. THAT is what pisses THEM off. You out there, not giving up when they gave up so long ago. A past regert that haunts them all the way to their keyboard….when they click on your blog and say to themselves(never on a comment)…"How does he keep coming up with these wonderful things". When all they're left with is a dried up well that they refused to dig deeper into for more. Maybe they had it in them at one time. Now all they got is envy….

Hi SK, I read your reply to my post and I'm more stumped than ever.

You see I have been a SK and the Church fan since 1988. I bought all the church albums on cassette and then over the years bought them all on CD. I have lots of your personal work as well. Your the main reason I fell in love with music.
25 years later I'm sitting in a room with no less than 3 music computers 55 pieces of gear and still wracking my brains how you managed to get that sound.
I'm not a professional recording engineer or trained on any instrument, I've taught myself everything I need to know musically and dabbled in everything to unwire everything needed to be an artist…and at the end of the day I'm entranced with your production.
Maybe I could come over sometime and watch?
just kiddin… no actually that would be very special.
Thanks for the beautiful music & poetry. It has enriched my life and I consider you to be the most important laureate of the ages.
