An arts festival sounds a whole lot more appropriate for the Church. I'm sure there will be an appreciative audience waiting there.

    Cheers,

youv'e become the 'peoples rockstar' while at the same time becoming more enigmatic than ever.

nice pics of frank 'n ryan by the way, i bet they're both well pleased!

You guys put in a lot of driving & work to do these gigs. Some gigs are better than others, but I'm glad you're still making your music & hope to catch you in or near Texas again sometime.

Wish I coulda come to Quebec City as well. It's finally rained here too this night, but it's much needed and has cooled the night air to a tolerable and even pleasant level, and I enjoy the rain sounds. Thunder rumbles now, lightning in the distance – sudden voltage in the night (such beautiful words you wrote) – the mother of the storm has to roam the sky, searching for her child.

You'll be warmly received in Quebec, I have a feeling. Two friends will be there – Night Friends.

Au revoir, this tour, anticipating the next with a sanguine eye glancing to the distant horizon, an ear to the wind – listening for the familiar echo (unit).

I have been enriched. All my best –

    JJ

Merci beaucoup Steve, Marty, Peter and Tim!!!
It was a amazing gig for me at l'Impérial Theatre. I hope that you had time to see some of Old City.

See you soon in North America and have a safe return.

    Crack a smile.

Or are you afraid of lines.

It's like you have only one expression, and you are forever posing for a self portrait.

Or is "plank" your hot look?

Perhaps you're waiting for a call from Madame Too Sards.

Maybe the real Steve died years ago and the band members trot out his wax figure so they can keep touring.

    It would explain a lot.

Saw you at the egg in Albany and just wanted to say that YES we absolutely loved you. Thanks for your energy and creativity and that gorgeous voice. I know it will be great to get home to your sweet girls, but don't stay away from this side of the world for too long! Hope to see you again soon.

…a white tanned man CAN sing the black blues.
It´s been hectic it seems – hope you can enjoy some days off.

Much love from a real "blekfis" ;D

    Hey SK
Read you were coming to winterland to visit your daughters.. Nice 🙂
I guess you need a break after the tour, rough as it is beeing on the road..
My humble question to you is if you might be interested in playing at my venue in Gothenburg? I fully understand that this isn´t in your planning at all,and that it takes a bit of travelling within Sweden.. but you know..i just have to pop the question..;)
    Take care

It would seem you are a hater. And what a dismal existence you must have to waste your time coming to a blog with hate on your mind and writing anything to provoke more disharmony. It's crystal clear you are a thoroughly unhappy individual. I hope you can find some love in your life soon.

ottawa gig was plagued with some tech difficulties in the middle bit, and a rain delay of course. but apart from those glitches you guys played really well. Things got back on track from You Took onwards, and you hit it home in the end.

a great fighter isn't one who cruises to victory every time. it's how many times you can get knocked down and get back up and back on track regardless – that's what matters.

bluesfest was obviously not your crowd (nor mine – gotta say i did not dig the other music at all). But every time you guys cranked the volume and played a blistering one i saw people streaming over from the other stages. you definitely impressed a bunch of peeps who didn't know the church before.

we drove 5 hrs one way for 1 hour of music, and were quite happy with the result. so there.

Hey Anon at 5:58 pm. Piss off already. I've laughed at some of your comments, cause I figure Steve can take it but enough already. Yeah, he's not as gorgeous as he once was, get over it. Go follow Ian McCulloch or something.

actually Andmoreagain i think he is still gorgeous, i dont care what that creep anon thinks, its just cause he hates himself so much he wants everyone else to hate aswell, he only wished he was half as hot as steve, im 35 and yes i thought steve was really hot in the 80s and im just amazed how he could still be so good looking at the age of 54!!!

Yes, it was a mediocre gig at best.
A band – a man – that was too good for the fans so excited to see him.
    $30 a ticket – blood money – not enough-
fans cheering for songs- and berated for doing so-
a city the band even wrote a song about – nothing more more than a corpse in the eyes of the singer.
Happiness – but "cultural bastards" are hard to please.
We are here for you, I guess.
We gave you pot, Absinthe and tube socks – you gave us criticism in return.
We did not entertain you. We failed to justify you.
Smack – is what you need. We failed.
    So we bleed.
