Every time I listen to this album, my mind starts running in a William Gibson type world. I often think how close he was to what our future would become and is still becoming.

    Fabulous, Steve.

Even a bit erotic in the middle there…

Where do you find time to do all this amazing stuff? You must work quickly.

I like your use of "mixed media" from your videos to your art to the poems which accompany it. Talk about prolific.

I recently purchased the "Art man and technology" set from the churchband site…and only got around to looking at it today….What a great concept…using the postcards to put poetry to…sort of like this blog but an easier way to get it into my "headspace" when it is read by the author…was particularly enamoured by the piece called "The Internet" as there I was beavering away at work (IT from home via the internet) and this comes on…and in betwen ravings about Hannibal (which I completely agree with how the internet has just become this huge conduit of all things good and bad..and we have to sort the wheat from the chaff) it said " a message to Michael ..a message to Michael"…woke me from my stupor…is he talking to me? …but realise I am probably one of about a million Michaels that have an interest in the life of SK….but very prophetic words throughout…now going to listen to "Mimesis Art Imitating life" which I also only picked up the other day…find I can only enjoy this material when the family is out as they are too distracting.

BTW…would love to see the written form of poetry of some of your most "treasured" songs in a book form with the artwork there…sorta like Paul Kelly or Nick Cave has done except you have the added bonus of the paintings to go with it. Or how about all your lyrics with the paintings only on the "treasured" songs..It would be a great read and a keepsake. Even better with the chord progressions but now I know I am asking for too much!

    Keep up the good work.

    I enjoyed that. 🙂

Haven't listened to Earthed in a couple of years, but think I might have to find one of my copies and give it a listen soon. It will be a bit like getting new material.

Very sad to hear Alex Chilton died, I had the good fortune to see him live at the Knitting Factory in New York about 11 years ago and he looked fit and lean and was rocking. All Box Tops and Big Star music in my house will be getting a big airing tonight in memory.

Always did love this one. And I partly credit it for sparking and sustaining my interest in the classical era.
Just watched a documentary on the History Channel the other night about Hannibal Barca and couldn't help but wonder how western culture would have turned out if the Carthaginians had come out at the right end of the Punic Wars.

Great song and vid especially for a home made one.
Have to admit, though.. the contoured affect made me feel a little uneasy.
I like the sitting with guitar and waving the arm gestures.

    A classic.
it would have sat well on "Another Green World".
As it is and was, it sits on "Earthed"
    just dandy.

I gotta admit…I can't help it. I feel like I get to hang out with you when I read/watch your blog, Steve. I do what I would normally do when I hang around people who intimidate me…sit back and take it all in. I feel I don't have a presence when I'm around more dominant personalities. I'm ok with that. If you don't have anything to contribute then why intrude. Me watching creation is better than me trying to tell someone how to do it. Giving expierience it's due. People don't have to come to this blog…they want to for good or ill…

My daughter was making some dance moves to this when she heard it last night. She normally rolls her eyes when I mention anything to do with 'Steve'. Will be at Rockwiz at the enmore tonight for a Crunch surprise!

You have what most ageing Rockstars have, a beautiful, sexy, younger wife (predictable), but she looks like she desperately wants your attention. Maybe she's tired of all your narcissistic screen gazing & wants a bit of the limelight herself. What better way to get attention that flash your abundant tits? (love the bit where she pushes her assets in your face & you push her away & continue staring at yourself in the screen, such FOCUS, admirable & hilarious too)
On the other hand, she might be claiming her man/territory with a very public mating display (bugger off all you besotted fans, HE"S MINE!!!)
Oh well, it's all in the service of ART. Clever way to increase your viewers/audience/subscribers!

    Great song by the way
