Travelling the arteries, must be hard not to think of yourself as corpuscular.

    You are a nutrient.

    Good for the system.

Vitamins SK. MWP. PK. TP. ETC.

There, on the flyover approach to the belly of the beast, you can hear the heart beat distantly as you scream off the overpass into another diseased organ.

    Go sing your magic song.

Right on the money my manuka honey! Not gonna give long review of Hollyweird. Ok, maybe a medium review. Ok to hijack blog one more time for that SK? Thanks! You’re so kind. : )

I will say: Why do people pay for a concert ticket, come, get drunk and talk OVER THE BAND?? I mean, that’s f-in LOUD. Idiots. More people = more idiots.
Don’t you wish SK, that you had dollar for every moron who yelled out your name? Or requested a song? OVER AND OVER?
    Idiot fan: COLUMBUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SK: No. But thanks for coming. (Very, very dry).

It frightens me to think SK, you coulda been not only a contenda (what bs – you have surpassed all others, singing like a butterfly, playin like a bee) – but a comedian as well. Multi-talented people! Heh!

Speaking of…thanks….was I? Well, thanks to all fellow commenters who were kind enough to read and enjoy my review of Santa Barbara. You guys are the best – we’re a little bloggy family. Cee, Ryan, all… hugs.

    Henry Fonda Theatre = beautiful
Steve wearin’ all black = beautiful
MWP, PK, TP = a whole lotta love

Vibe was different, energy was different. Sk still sounded sweet….I’m not a musician but seemed like slight lack of ‘flow’ happened…wow, maybe I’m not totally off here if I agree w/SK…nevertheless it was still more brilliant than all of us put together in one room could probably ever do. Well, I’ll just speak for myself. The people that *were* there LOVED YOU GUYS. And there were quite a few at the start; too much liquor for some idiots. Hello Darwin. No! Karma will get me. Everyone comin’ up with their own “I first got into the Church” stories. I love hearing them.

Rob D. – Excellent. One of the classiest, sweetest guys I’ve ever met. Offered to bring my friend food while she worked one of the merch tables w/his stuff on it too.

Majorie Fair – Nice kids, great music. Are they 12? They look so young. Oh and I mean REALLY F-IN GREAT MUSIC.

Cain-o: Haha. Sat behind him and we joked about how he spilled his beer so we could all have that authentic ‘club aroma’ – very nice guy. Talked to me earlier at SK’s art table.

Robert Rankin Walker (Heyday Records): Sigh. Why are all the good ones taken? Another sweetheart, great converation about mwp’s guitar skills. Came to visit me in lobby various times thru the night, helped me move table, class act. I told him I always thought he was some really old hippy dude. Haha.

SK – With SK, I save the best for last. Even w/o major flow, I saw you come out on stage baybee and you were smilin’ some. Do NOT deny it. Gonna say “All I Know” takes me to the top of Maslow’s pyramid. Nirvana. Some sweet sounds coming from you, as usual….Grind…my heart be still…Metropolis…ole! good luck 2night.

Peeps, I’m not going tonight to Solana, I have a big exam Sat. but I’m going Friday night to Anaheim. Does that make sense? No. So I’ll report back Sat. afternoon.

Also, not really a drinker nor a drug taker (except for medicine as needed for health) but I am not making this up when I said how nice everyone was. Has the music biz changed? Where are the pricks? Sittin’ somewhere stealing other people’s royalties. >: (

And I have had, in the past, some quibbles, squabbles? bitchy musings about some rude interactions w/mwp, pk…so I’m not bein’ two-faced here. I’ll tell it like it us. And then lose all friends, ha..kidding aside…maybe I grew up and realized hey – you people are human beings! as are we all.

thanks SK for letting me reflect and refract –
i’m looking forward to anaheim, get to sit, relax, kick back
    and watch the magik.

because even w/uneven flow, it’s magical.
    love you,

p.s. i really don’t care if people read my blog (except my brother who refuses and that’s pissin’ me off)…but if you want a much more swear-word filled blog about last night and my ‘work’ part of it, click on the name. I do apologise for the swearing….I don’t talk like that except on freeways; alone in car…I am a teacher so I know it’s naughty, naughty…and I NEVER say that stuff in front of kids of any age) 😉

Hi Steve, I was freezing here last night in here in Mission Control, picked up the old guitar and wrote a loosley Time Being Blog inspired song with my 4 chords although the melancholy state of mind is just my own. i love Am, it’s the most beautiful chord.

    ‘Jazz Cigarette.’

Winter has come 12 months to soon
Taken my love and gone to the moon
Yeah it’s colder than an artic junky
    And I can’t believe it’s only Monday

We are hanging on to the ceiling
    Trying to escape this feeling
    Wrapped up like old Tibet
    Smoking my jazz cigarette

My street is empty my town a ghost
I’m the last man standing at this outpost
Yeah there’s a full moon and a dogs a howling
I’d sing the blues but you’d start laughing

We are drowning in Maluka, honey
And my friend, it’s not that funny
I’m breaking up and broken down with regret
    Smoking my jazz cigarette

    Mile’s Davis
    Charlie Parker
    Steve Kilbey
    Andy Partridge
    Brian Eno
    Mike Scott
    Robert Calvert
    Iggy Pop

I will say he could use
    a comb
    some conditioner.
but that’s the girl in me wanting to do his hair.

if mwp’s fat, please god, make me fat!

sorry steve – no more hijacking of blog promise

Easy is the “schizzle”. (Bahahaha… pardon my language) I dug it when I first heard it at the Manchester Lane gig in Melbourne.

And on the album, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The acoustic guitars, the mandolin. So pretty. I reckon it’d be a good single!

So I’m thinking my legit worn-out jeans need to be replaced by some fake worn-out jeans for the weekend trip to Tempe. Tonight I’m in the fitting room taking care of that and you’ll never guess what came on the muzakkk…..

“Her name is ‘Rio’ and she….”

(I started laughing so hard an attendant came in to check on me. It was great.)

I too have a tiny token to give (literally very tiny), but am afraid if I toss it onstage I will be dragged out by the ear. Maybe a nice crew member would accept it and relay. I suppose I’ll find out.

bought some manuka honey the other day – it tastes a bit too much like antiseptic to be a pleasure so i hope its doing me some good. bloody expensive.

according to holly you have signed my print and it will soon be winging its way to me – thanks, no doubt a bit of a chore doing that but you know us fanbase drones appreciate the personal touch.

you sound a bit fed up with the shows so far – cheer up you miserable sod, you’re a rock’n’roll star for gods sake.

Took their name from a character in a kitsch 60s sci-fi movie.

I think they had very talented hair. It took a lot, you know, for that hair to achieve its full potential.

I will cop to one thing, though, and that is the line “…and you wanted to dance so I asked you to dance…”

to be fair to mwp, anyone being photographed from below generally does not look quite right. white pants add to the insanity, perhaps that is my own pet peeve. white gets too dirty for us that wallow in coffee, blood, red wine, pomegrantes, soot, traffic tickets, etc

I met Dan of 91X at Marty’s show in Temecula, he is a true fan and it is nice that he is doing so much for the band

I think he is right about “Easy” as well, it should (could?) be a hit single

should we start requesting it at our local stations?
