Really enjoyed today’s clip, hard to believe it was really so long ago.

when it comes right down to it.

olde glynnis just doesn't have the dosh captain.

do i appreciate the effort contained therein?

    can i play the Fagin?

    More than you know.

Do i appreciate what you what you do on this intranets?

…swashbuckling with your kamera und video edits?

doesn't change the fact that the pockets are lighter than buzz aldrin on a vacation to la luna.

    lurv, el glynnis

Great clip, Steve. Having both Jack Frost's releases has been one of the most rewarding facts along my musical experience. Kilbey + McLennan & McLennan + Kilbey redefined the supergroup concept beyond any known boundary. Thanks for making it happen.

Can’t wait! But don’t forget to save some surprises for us.
In 1991 I was living in my first apartment and going to grad school.
I could hardly pay the rent.
Unfortunately, some things haven’t changed that much.
    But one thing has changed.
I know who you are now and Grant too
so as someone else said earlier
“bring it on, bang a gong”

All about music !! Best lyricist and vocalist Steve Kilbey. Best Band The Beatles followed by The Church. Best guitarist Jeff Beck. Best drummer John Bonham. Best bass player Chris Squire? of Yes ! Best female rock star Chrissie Hynde.

    That's only one neophyte's opinion.

Oh goodie, an entire month of music on TTB!

Got a chuckle from the last bit about Americans not being able to discern [non-American] accents. "Chaawwwwnt" indeed.

Love it to death! This was my favorite Jack Frost song….cute play on words since the frost is getting ready to hit the midwest prematurely. Having a whole month of music stuff is awesome.

Thanks Steve,,,and I will eventually come up with some funds to toss your way.

aftersummer day in teutonia, watching a night song, providence, and its two chords evoke some tears. providence's caliber is the one of Suzanne, Moonlight Mile, more than a great song but an archetype, one of the kind to press on golden cds sent to space…thatS so weird…it's perfection without elaboration, or the elaboration's of a grade so grand it's invisible again. wow steve, you look great then, and it was a kinda role model/fashion hero for me back then..when i was 15. a certain warped elegance, you could be cool without the rock antics, you could wear black without being goth, grow a beard without looking like a biker/social worker/teacher/mad scientist. that was the peak of cool for me, and still is.

One of my fave songs of all time.
I wasn't even a legal adult then which means no concerts were allowed.

Is that shot on film or filter effect?

I knew the first day of Spring would bring happiness….these great videos and music blogs, KK launch next week, SK's birthday, sunshine outside, warmer weather etc…happy dayz indeed!!!

Can't wait for the good stuff dude. On the topic of your music reviews and commentaries – I always find them insightful and spot-on.

Whoa, Providence? One of my fave Kilbey or Mclennan tracks ever, and definitely one of your finest lyrical achievements in my view. There are some really beautiful, bittersweet and heartbreaking lines in there:

The pond smells sweet in the frozen air/the silhouettes just fading there…cold boats creak/strange beasts cry/watching shadows in the sky

Holy cow those are some memorable images, just on this side of being able to bear lost loves.

Listening to grant talk, the few words that he utters, he sounds a bit pretentious, a little bit precious.
    Was he like that?
    Nothing wrong with that,
he did have pretensions to a refined life, I sense, and his music reflects that.
I’d like to see the complete film.

    My favorite subject.

Sometimes I try to play it.

I once gave ol SK a copy of "Constant in Opal" that my 'band' did in college.

Don't think he was too impressed.

    Just as well.

    It was shit.

    Hello Anon/PV at 1.40pm…

I was lucky enough to meet Grant on at least seven or eight ocassions (my band's cellist played in a band with John Wilsteed (2 Star Club)).

Grant lovely and shy…perhaps a little insecure; but certainly not pretentious in my view (suppose I didn't know him very well). Sensitive maybe, but not precious.
