I would love to sit in at one of your rehearsals.

I saw you at Dublin a few years ago playing a semi-acoustic set – the first time I ever saw you guys playing live (I saw you again in London in 2004). I was sitting right in front of the stage. The sound was amazing – I was so close to the stage I think I was hearing your stage/backline sound – I could hear and see everything you guys were doing.

Funny thing was that all the things/parts I thought Marty played were being played by Peter and vice versa…you even played guitar yourself on Magician with Marty on Bass duties…I’ve got some pics somewhere which I’ll have to upload to the Band website sometime.

    A sublime experience.

    Have a good one.

    ciao TB

(we thought we had you licked, but you’re back more virulent than ever)

While in Olde Melbourne Town, please consider paying a visit to my Spiritual Embassy there. I leave emissaries and ambassadors in every town I lay my hat in. My ineffable espirit de corps, my ectoplasmic elite, trained in the arts and drained of all substance, my staff from the netherworld.

In Brisbane they languish in the sun
In Budapest they argue over art and politics
In Houston they sup dos equis and scoff soft tacos
In Sheffield they cast ingots from fire and earth
In Wellington they fish entire islands from the bay
Here in Leicester they are busy attending to my needs

But in Melbourne, where they await my eventual return, my imaginary coterie simply laze about in an olde Victorian terrace smoking jimson weed, raving about this and that and dreaming of the moon.

To be honest, they could do with the company.

    ciao for niao

    if only
    if only
    if only
i could kick back with you tonight
    and some jazz cigarettes
    listen to some sweet vibrations
    cozy on down and
    listen to our thoughts
    on life, death, the universe
music, art, yoga, the great outdoors
then head off to watch your grooves and feel your voice
    and whisper gently how wonderful
    you are and
    cover you with velvety kisses
    and occasional nips
then slink off into the night with you and stay awake dreamily all over each other until dawn
and then head off into another day

Just got back from the gb3 gig at SC. Man you guys rocked.

Along with the Chruch, the U/Lovers were a monumental part of my 80’s & 90’s. T’was bloody great to see the collaboration tonite. Loved Famished, amongst others. GB should be proud.

    And again, thanks for Providence.

Just got around to reading the interview you did with Heather Space (shame on me, what was that..2 yrs ago?)…laughed out loud imagining the James Hetfield imitation, the “-ah!” at the end of each lyric line; ain’t it true? When we wuz kids we laughed at the southern radiopreachers here, my sister calling them “AH-men.”

This has nothing to do with gb3, but hope the gig went well.

Most of which unheard by 99.9% of the population due to no associated other “hit singles” or MTV viddys
    Shit! (sorry Joycie)
I’m tryin’ not to swear, but fuck it’s hardde
Went to Indian place for din din’s last nite

My tinnitus ring-aling-dingin’ like a slow Chinese water torture
    No more electric tours
Nothing even plugged in anymore, just acoustic bass
Smaller audiences will be required (10 people max)
Will have to do more shows, though
    That means more touring
And you know how I LOVE to tour, don’t you?
    And especially fly

    Think I’ll choose sedated

Awesome gig, soured only by the loudmouth gaggle of women in front of me taking photos of themselves with their mobile phones and showing each other.

Also, a couple of strange guys with dubious American accents making copious Hall and Oates references.

    Providence was something really special.

I was there… I lovd it. Sk walked on like the happiest rocker in the world.. No Church dramas, just real good ol fashioned Sk the singer at his best.
Providence was a beautiful add in…and the mattster was lucky yet again to say hi to the man.
There were some freaky crunch fanzies..good ol Roger, whos now stalking me..relieving the pressure off the kilb abit…
what a nice night..Sk in the best of spirits and vocal high..
sK was in his element, the others were great.lead geetar dude very very good……
The killar was in no real mood to go for a drink with mm-wa! but hey I always expect too much..
Steve you are a great guy, hopefully one day we can have that cuppa.
    Be back later..
