Hey man, in the process of buying one of your paintings…can't wait to get it home, frame it, listen to the tune that goes with it (among the other ones)…and enjoy it everyday with pride, envy, and deliciousness!

Nice lilt to accompany a little bit of education!

I reckon most of today's younger generation probably don't even know the Epic of Gilgamesh and its comparisons to biblical story of Adam. I'm sure though that they'd be far more interested if they were being taught the Kilbey way!!!

These are so good – infinitely better than the dull, plodding, melody-less and hook-free Untitled #23. Just for once can we have a Church album of your songs, with the other 3 playing em? Let Peter play guitar solos too. Yes, I have followed the Church since 1982…

Another cool one! Really digging these. Jeez, put these together with yer KH esoteric music club songs, give em a bit of spit and polish, and you've got yerself a double album.

Got the first dozen of these blog songs ripped to my mp3 player. leaving tonight for assignment in syria. these will make great listening out there in the desert.

Got a layover in constantinople too. guess i'd better include that track as well…

Love this song, wish it went on a bit longer. The video I imagine with this is a walk through a nightlit, dense, scary, forest-like garden with all the creepycrawlies and animals popping in out of the bushes and trees, then running and getting stuck in a huge spiderweb and fainting….sounds like an 80's musicvid dunnit?

Thanks for keeping it coming sk!

    Obama Care is more like…

    "Ruin DC!"

You have no idea since you live in Australia what Obama is doing to this economy…running us broke!

So be careful what you wish for over here since your not here, we're stuck with him now unfortunately and paying for it dearly, literally "paying" more πŸ™

GM stands for Government Motors now too…that's the tip of the iceburg to start things off.

You are better off keeping politics behind the scene, especially if your not living here through this mess and paying taxes for it!

Keep us happy with music and leave the politics to the politicians, please don't be come a Woodstock activist Mr & Mrs K, please I beg of you.

Steve…what's up with that Obama painting? Sorry to see that…should buy it and burn it.

    Here, here Mary!

We're all here because of our shared enthusiasm for SK's creativity, talent and because it lifts us. Not to nit-pick amongst ourselves. Are we not adults?

Glynnisjohns must feel awful for mentioning it in the first place, but looks like the comment was only made as a sign of approval.

We all have the right to opinion, and we all have our reasons for them, but unless we can make a comment to make one another smile or show we are caring people, then as the saying goes, 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!'

And as for taxes yeah, great idea, let's get rid of all taxes. Let's get rid of those "tax moochers" out there like our fire departments, police, and road crews. Nutjobs!

Hey Steve and everyone else…sorry I got wrapped up in politics here. But hey SK and NK…i really LOVE what you guys do and represent for music, as far as politics go…no thanks! But hey, it's a free world (at least in some countries, right?).

So I apologize and Mary is correct…let's lighten up the tone here and discuss SK n NK plus fam instead…man, don't get me wrong…I love Steve's music, poetry, painting, etc…pretty much everything he does. I just wish he didn't support Obama because they (SKnNK) just don't have to live it over here….it's a crying shame really what Obama is doing to our economy, uggggh!

I do LOVE the Ben Frank painting…now there's a "Stand Up" type of guy…don't make em' like that anymore.

I still might buy the Obama painting and burn it once I get it home…

Steve and NK…love the new song and video "In The Garden of Gilgamesh", thanks!

If you have to come to this blog to advise others what to believe, then I ask you, how did your opinions become such a solid reality for all of us? I'd suggest trying some meditation! Opinions are just energy.

I knew Obama before any of you knew him, while he was in the Illinois senate, and he sucked then too…your all under mind & media control!

Yes, he received the prize, but the question is, does he really deserve this Nobel Peace Prize? Obama himself, quote unquote said "I don't deserve this" and I would have to agree with the man.

He's sinking in the polls anyway, so he'll be a four term pres. They have to uplift his mojo somehow, what better way to do it, but with the prize sadly.

How can anyone anoint him anything, a god, a prize, with so short of a term!? He hasn't even made it through his first year. Just goes to show how the Liberal Media in our United States has mind control over the populace, and knows how to control your mind….zap! So you’re Zombied out on Obama…zap zap, ahhhh, Yay he won duh prize!

As far as GW, he didn't get us into a 9 Trillion dollar debt within one year of his presidency like Obamanation is doing. Obama has spent (is spending) more than our first pres George Washington through GW β€œcombined!”…so YOU have gotta be kidding me Anon, haha. Healthcare will break that number too.

P.S. Sorry again Steve…We REALLY LOVE YOUR BLOG and that should be the last reply from me ;-). Water under the bridge buddy, just like this ObamaNation we are living over here.

Besides, I'm not for Bush or Obama…you should read up on the Constitution Party someday…

Nobel Prize…lol, he hasn’t done anything yet, even Jimmy Carter got a prize. LOL

Final P.S. I hope this rant helps sell your Obamanation Painting. I should buy it & paint a stack of debt behind that smile.

    easy people!
cards on the table…..i'm here coz i like steve kilbey…a lot.
i reckon he's a cool geezer and one hell of a wit(among many other things).
    and that's about it really….
maybe obama is that nice guy the u.s. voters wanted him to be, but surely he's just another cog in the great machine?….the engine that drives the universe….we are all infintessimaly small, nothing more than a brief dim spark in the mind-boggleing enormity of it all.
    so who cares?
if you like doing something, try hard to do it well, respect other people's opinions, be nice 'n be loving…enjoy all the great stuff around you….and don't just ignore the bad things, they'll only go away if you help make 'em go!

what am i trying to say here?
something like….you have the power within yourself, don't look for a guru or tutor…teach yourself.
    although having said that….
mr. kilbey's musings are at times quite inspirational!
    so in closing…obama's prize is,
    and i talk……bollocks.

He will probably legalize mj in his 2nd term and save the bloody country. I bet these right wingnuts support the war on drugs too… and most likely support oil companies, drug companies, the insurance industry and big farms. compelled to share their brainwashed, fox news opinions,,, and suggest sk edit himself? btw, the Obama painting is wicked-awesome!
