Allow me to praise the vibe that runs through the most recent release–el momento siguiente.

Many people write about the business–wow, did you see how many units they moved and did you notice that the producer was smart and took points on the back end and now he’s collecting an additional .08 cents American for every bulk item sold to the domestic market. The business may market a record but the overall vibe you hear and the healthiness of the souls who make the music is paramount.

There is a vibe to this record, people. A vibe missing from most things in this life. A vibrating and a living sound is released when you activate the songs via digital means. Good God–I just had a thought–can you get this record on vinyl and play it through an old Pioneer tuner? You know, the ones that lit up and had actual tubes in them? Do such things exist anymore? Are they museum pieces? Are they boat anchors? Do people secretly hoard them and only bring them out to hear music they way it is supposed to be heard when they need an injection of courage or enlightenment? Where are the secret places these old machines still hum and throb with analog sound? Can you follow the glow to where they are kept?

El Momento Siguiente on vinyl, played through big speakers on a fine turntable and a Pioneer tuner, glowing yellow and orange through the exhaust vents. What a thing that would be.

I now have a mission–to make that happen. I have pawn shops to turn over and perhaps an E-bay account to reactivate.

The Killer and his cohorts create a vibe, they get it down on tape, it comes out, and a madman is scouring the world to create a perfect storm of sound in order to see if this vibe can be enhanced.

I doubt the vibe can really be enhanced. I doubt the plucking and the pounding and the singing can ever be brought any closer to the ear drums and enhanced. You can talk about the songs–this album is just one shimmering vibe and the silence between the tracks is just the players changing places and instruments. They never lose the vibe, all the way through. It’s what we used to call a Hang On To Forever type deal, a record you’d never trade in, loan or resell to anyone. It is hands off, leave it be, I’m hiding it from prying hands that don’t have the ears to handle it.

But only if I could. Only if I could.

Some expressions for a ‘feel better soon’ please?

Yesterday was yet another perfectly warm day in Mill Valley set amongst a national preserve- it’s a living paradise and blessed lifestyle.

I treat myself with a nightly juant through its magnificence- the Ross area typically. Last night I heard a dog run up behind me….I look around to see an Austrailian Sheppard. He’s got a frisbee in his mouth and stares me straight in the eyes with his crystal blues, “Play?” I threw his frisbee…the owner said he loves runners! I love this type of dog as much as a golden retriever or more in its friendliness! so sweet

The cool forset goes from dusk to twilight- I run quietly and I see some commotion ahead. I focus in on a mother deer and her bambi- I talk to them in deer language “click, click, click” with my tongue. They prance to and fro on the trail…very interested- even slow up some to see who’s talking to them.

    I hope things are well…

    Art Amused

Take your time, TB – I have 12 days of entries to catch up on, as I was away on holiday in the mountains of British Columbia – a most beautiful region of Planet Earth, an antidote to my obligations to The Man, who now has me contained an in-line at my desk/lab once again. Met many fine members of my tribe from UK, Ireland, Oz, Germany & Canada around a night fire. Impossibly bright canopy of stars on a black canvas, meteorites streaking the sky above the firs. Creatures moving in the forest, sharing of BC herb, satiated and dreaming in tents…..all rich, sublime.
