firstly i want to thank you for the isidore cd.when i made my donations, that’s exactly what theu were..along with the david neil album where your vocals are just amazing, you’ve given me a birthday present (dec 18) and a chrissie’re nice geezer mr k.
    looking forward to the forum.
one of the gang coming along (sammy) has only heard unguarded moment and
i gave him some homework in loaning him U23# and P=A.
i also gave him an earlier Starfish cd, as i had the new version with marty’s notes..
his study is going a little slow. he thinks the P=A songs sound the same.
i’ve since provided him with a 3 songs at a time program to enjoy driving to and from work ..e.g pangaea, anchorage and lunar, or ripple, feel and dome, or destination, lost and spark….his initial response ” gee they have a lot of single word songs”.
i’ve told him, we’ll move up to the longer song titles when those songs all sound different…the things you do for friends.

I speculate that not everyone has brain receptors for The Church. It’s like trying to help someone who can only see black and white to develop an appreciation for color. Personally, I think The Church should be played to infants to facilitate their brains developing normally.

So so jealous, yes we had our turn but how can I not feel this way. I am elated that the first couple shows were barn-burners- if I recall, the beginning of the states tour had its ups and downs. Rock those fuckers into the deep dry earth my far away friend. Now one does it better and no one ever will! !!!
Wow, I feel empty (as Andy deftly put it) I feel very jealous- probable because are music scene has dried up and blow away.

    Kill Them All …Killer !!!

I just watched “Unguarded Moment from SOH” on YouTube (major computer problems ) and all I can say is that not only are the Church the GREATEST BAND on this planet and beyond but …Steve…you sounded beyond amazing !!! So much emotion – you looked great. I felt tears welling in my eyes, as the song concluded. It almost appeared that a tear may have welled up under your eyes which, if it did , only goes to prove how important your music…your songs…are to all of us. We can never display the gratitude that you and the guys rightfully deserve…all I can say is: Thank You So much !!!

      Simply AMAZING !!!!

When oh when will the entire DVD be released. You are teasing us, which is absolutely okay with me. But please oh please tell us when…

      BRILLIANT !!!

like willie says, the longer you sit, the harder it is to get back up again.

You guys have been peaking ever since i heard you! Don’t go downhill just yet, because once you hit your peak, it’s all downhill from there! Nah, not for you or the band…you guys will always be peaking in my book! I wish you guys would bring all that stuff on DVD, the induction into the hall of fame, psychedelic symphony, your honorary induction, etc. Is it available on Youtube or DVD somewhere!? Cheers! you lucky people need to get to the three album show and the acoustic shows.
Steve I hope to see you here again the states soon.
congrats on your hall of fame award, well deserved.
I cant wait for the Isidore CD, review to come.
DVD is going to be amazing, Tantalized rocked and when I saw the clip for Unguarded Moment I had goosebumps, the orchestra really shined. I can only imagine what the rest of the set sounds like. You should be really proud of yourself and the bands achievments you guys are truly amazing as people and artist.

    Take Care,

Hi Steve, The new Isidore CD (complete with gleaming silver signature) arrived in the mailbox today. Thank you so much. Christmas has come early. First listen and it sounds wonderful. As you say, there is a lot going on in there but all the tracks still have that unmistakable element of Isidore magic. “You Will Remain” is truly lovely. All the best, JP.

I know I have posted couple comments for this blog entry but I found it very important to tell of my incredible experience with I was unable to complete an order due to a computer problem on my end and sadly missed out on the ‘map’ t-shirt. But that is all perfectly find. I was personally helped by Rajani, who was amazingly professional and took the time to correct my error, process my new order (2 great SOH T-SHIRTS), and start the shipping process. Those little shirts have a long way to travel, over many land and sea …LOL. Yet, during this process- Rajani and I strikes up a conversation and was so intelligent, warm, and lovely- that I felt like I was speaking with a friend. Many thanks to the church and to you Steve to surround yourself with exceptional people who have all of your best interests in mind. The STORE on the site is beyond fantastic. So, please, everyone who has ever felt a bit concerned about ordering something on-line, jump at the chance to explore and make a purchase. You will have the best customer service experience of a lifetime. Thanks again Rajani- you have restored my belief in the people who unselfishly serve others.

What a diamond gem…as Steve would proudly say.

it’s a no agenda kind of day
beneath the hum of the traffic, one way
streets stretch forever and ever, birds prey
for a winter’s meal as they circle overhead
somewhere in the remnants of my yesterday
i do what i didn’t do and promise to play
in the freedom of a time passed, faded away
like that time when christmas was praised
and adored or when i dropped the needle on milky way
transported to another world, a magical place
and my eyes rest upon this electronic frontier, binary,
revealing a whole new dimension, let’s all stay
on the road less traveled, it’ll be great

Hat’s off to you and the band for undertaking such a marathon show. My wife and I enjoyed your stop here in New England immensely and were amazed at the quality of perfomance you were able to maintain for the full set. It is truly a testament of the band’s devotion to it’s disciples. Hope to see you back in this neck of the woods soon…
