…if you're ever up my neck of the woods (ie northern new south wales), take your camera to a place called the crystal castle up the back of mullumbimby…'s visually stunning……

    love always….

Thanks for the intriguing postcard SK. Although instead of FIN at the end, I'd have preferred 'WISH YOU WERE HERE!''

All is glowing…there is that change in the light that comes with the warm breeze… glimpse Bondi as it radiates its own kinda glow on the rest of the universe.

Reminds me of Vision On, A BBC TV childrens programme for the deaf in the 70's. This show was fantastic even if you weren't deaf.

though seeing the beach reminded me that i wanted to get down to the beach here w/my camera
a possible last time to take advantage of taking my proximity to the ocean for granted and get some snaps of the churnings of Bill
but this internet break is all i have time to do
packing up my life to move away – to the gateway i go!
ohwell, pictures are in my mind always…
    red skies at dusk?

i like these "shorts" gets me thinking of the stuff I used to find on TV in the wee hours, before the infomercials came

    Hey SK
I really amazed at what you're doing – would i be correct in assuming you have the new macbook pro (only cos I myself bought one a few month ago – awesome machines). Anyway, I'm been trying to do some film work myself, but it looks pretty pedestrian compared to your stuff. It just made me realize its the concept or rather the man behind it all thats get cool results rather than the type of gadgets he's using. One cool thing I have been using is my little still 7 mp digital camera to do film – it allows me to record or film for about 15 minutes. I look forward seeing more of your film work and trying to work out how you did it – hey I learnt how to play guitar from listening to the church, maybe i can learn about film and post production from you. Wow I really have got so much from being a church fan-thank you so much!

is that a bit koto music in the intro scenes?

have you thought about collaborating with Riley Lee, a wonderful shakuhachi grand master (who I think lives in Manly) – I'm thinking there could be some great synergy.

Thoroughly enjoyed that postcard from lush, chirpy, semi-tropical Bondi. The flora and fauna = quite the relaxing video.

Keep the cards and letters from your exotic locale coming to these N. American shores. As you approach Spring, we approach my favorite season – Autumn. Forever Autumn, I wish it was. The heat subsided today with a wonderful cool preview to come.

Winter in Bondi? Pretty tuff, reminds me of winter in Florida, wear a light jacket at the beach.

You're lucky to live near the ocean y'know. I really enjoyed that one, sk…..ahhhh Springtime and all it's bloomin' beauties and Springtime songs, one of my favourite lines "the sweetest spring dawn morning sings to me….." (sigh)

Looking forward to the next one sk.
    love Amanda

    Steve Kilbey Film Maker!
Have you tried to create a DVD (need blank DVDs not CDRs -in imovie select share then media browser and also check preferences for things like pal/ntsc and wide screen )by exporting them into idvd (in idvd click and and drag music photos for menu and use the + to add whatever) , its very cool to be able to watch them on a TV with your own menus, scene selection, special features, directors commentary and music etc, just like something you would rent from a Video store.
I reckon within a year or so you'll have a HD camera and final cut pro and be churning out so much stuff so quickly the whole net will be kilbeyized,

    Is this where you live???

i love that trippy californian laurel canyon '69 vibe in there – i adore that sort of thing. Did you ever see the film clip of the beach boys' 'Friends'?? From 1968, it's a bit like that though yours is more hallucinatory.

    So close yet so distant….hmmm…

Steve i think you are extremely brave putting all of you out there to share and I admire you so much for that! These little video experiments are becoming pretty special, you're oozing potential. The ending of this from 3:50 was awesome you know.
