a wish
a joke
another thirty miles
travel in silence
engine revolves
long shadows fall
birds look for land
out here the stars…..
moon looks like a …..
try n arrange somethin’
struggletown next
trainstations n milk bars
parked trucks n stolen bikes
brickworks closed down
signs missing
wrong road
getting more n more lost
feeling vulnerable
where to steven?
where are we now?
i dunno exactly
have you been here before?
yes n no
no, its ok…i think
are you shaking?
a little…
whats wrong whats wrong?
nothing nothing
then why…?
i dunno
when will we…?
look, leave me alone
youre geeing me up
youre creating more problems
your suspicions are crippling me
just shut up…
ok ok but when will we….
i thought i told you to shut up
but i just wanted to ask this one last thing
but i told you i dunno
but just one more question n i will
but i cant answer
what are you hiding from?
oh god…what are YOU hiding from?
yes thats right!
youve had your question aint ya?

    no questions here…except one…

I was down in Berry this weekend…the drive down and back was the best bit. The effect this weather has on the countryside is magical.

    14 x 80mph
    Such precious cargo
    every bit of it
    5 lil prisoners
    to the white lines
    on the freeway
    silver chariot
    heartland gloom
    I hear
    control as
    stereo spins
    steady genius
    Pull in
    amber pine
    a circus
    slides back in
    a dawn laugh

You put things in your poems that could be interpreted many ways. Thats hard to do, and its unique because not alot of people can do it. Hope you had fun SK! Very lovely words.

It’s so nice to have you back sk. I know it was only a week, but it seemed sooooo long without some words from our beloved sk! I hope you’ve recharged your batteries for your travels back to Melby town this week. It’s probably the last thing you want to do after a relaxing holiday, but there’s no sympathy coming your way..hee hee! Can’t wait to see you Thursday night.
    Love always,

    Hi sk,

So the play might be coming back for an encore? Will the bumper give up her pipe?

Speaking of famous people, I’ve met quite a few. The most memorable (apart from your good self) was probably Mick Jagger. He came on to me at a nightclub in Sydney in the late 80’s. Very friendly and down to earth. Said he loves coming to Australia.

But I declined his advances, as he had his lady out here with him. My friends said I was mad. We parted on friendly terms though and he obliged with an autograph, with kisses.

To this day, I always wonder, what if?…….

Hope you enjoyed your break and the batteries are recharged.

Glad to see u back sk. The holidaze seems to have done u good, very creative blogges, nice escape back to the places of the past (or is it the future?)

Yessaday went to the S.H. Ervin Gallery to see the exhibition of Reg Mombassa. Why are so many musos such great artistes as well?
He is so clever, what a mind. Would love to eavesdrop on a conversation between the 2 of u.
Dog Trumpet played and Martin Plaza made a guest appearance. Good time was had by all.

Wish u would have an exhibition of your art. Know it would be a sell out. Wonder if pk, mwp or tp do any drawings, have a feeling tp might.

    Keep up the good work.

These past three entries have taken me on quite a journey. I was surprised at the emotions they triggered for me.
