some weird infection got me the other night

freezing and boiling and recoiling in horror

i lie in bed and follow rivulets of reverie

in deep dark places i come across the strangest things

i exchange information

the banging in my head continues

i hobble around

my much vaunted vim dimly remembered

fuck – indeed – hey sk today i re-visited heyday in all it’s glory (yeah i know so long ago you don’t rate it) but for me i am more than proud to say to young whippersnappers today there was actually some timeless music created in the 80s most of which came from you and your jolly gang of troubadours and that was just the start coz you see lads they are still delivering superb eclectic albums (we wait excitedly for the latest and greatest) but fuck – man – what is is with mwp mia – still trying to get my 30+ years of churchdom around that – hope he is ok about all this and you 2…places at once (sigh)- love to you

I agree. It was the ‘HeyDay’ album that let me know The Church existed & led me to buy more albums later in life. Used 2 argue w another with what was best song on it. From memory he liked reptile. I said columbus or metropolis. & as my music is stil packed on the highest point on my kitcken cupboards from the 2011 floods. Cant check to c if they r on the disk. But pretty sure they r. Heyday & The Riptides ‘yellow’ album (ithink was its title 4 I lent 2 a friend & never saw it again. Hearts&Flowers being a fave) got alot of play in my younger adult life.
Nothing like the Sunshine Coast beaches to recharge and coup ones ill & tired body. Good 2 hear recovered.

      Steve loves Heyday.
Search the old Time Being site for his extensive account of the making of it.

Sorry to hear, it can happen to the best of us. Sometimes even vegetarian eating, drinking lots of water, taking healthy supplements, and vigorously exercising can’t always prevent something breaking through the immune system’s defenses. I know it’s no fun being out of action, but sometimes you have to slow down for a bit to aid the healing process: it’ll pass.

    Get well soon
