when its gone a way

the insatiable truth continues to admit all possibilities

even some idiot says life on this planet is an accident

yeah sure it is….does that make you feel better…?

a complete and total fluke…boy see that lightning hit the primordial soup…!

your head is no good if your hearts not in it

your head in the clouds

water lifted from the sea

many creatures make me up

the unicorn and the lion

the griffin and the snake

history myth religion

the past is all of these

you can never touch it with your hands

it exists only as an idea

a real mystery …who can crack the past…?

the future yes …..but the past no…..

or what….?

I say the past is very close behind in our evolution. We are creators and destroyers, we haven’t evolved and we’re bound to repeat things over for a while.

Life arising as an accident and life arising by design aren’t necessarily different things in this very strange universe that we find ourselves encased within. Check out this amazing BBC doc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF7gdlTrCQY

      thanks Steven
      will check this one out
Have you seen the doco, Wonders of the Universe?…presented by Brian Cox…also known for the ‘hit’ song…things can only get better
didn’t manage to catch all parts of the series (BBC, 4 part series)
Apparently the BBC messed with the sound, much to the disappointment of those of whom were creatively involved…a familiar story
      cheers

    the past passed me by
    the future some where lies
    the moment comes and goes
    and nothing is promised
    but everything is possible

darwin was working on a theory that was never given much exposure as the scientific and religious community were still reeling from his theory of evolution. plus it was so extreme that everyone thought society would fall apart at it’s disclosure. he didn’t really have the language to express it well but it was quite stunning, he suggested that all life is the same being. pretty radical.
humans are just an aspect of a super organism, i guess in terms of dna there’s not that much difference between humans and other species including plant life. but it also makes me think that evolution is not limited to adaption to the enviroment, but self awareness, and i really do belive that only an intelligent creator would allow it’s creations that ability. one day we will know what and who we are, and we will know why we are part of nature not apart from it, and then the lion will truely lay down with the lamb.

Don’t you get it, boy? (she said, not unkindly).

The past is what you have seen. The future is what you will see.

The only change shall be the circumstances.

YOU will always be the same.

    The soul is eternal.

i saw my grandfather in a dream once upon a starry night
i didn’t know him that much really, but his spirit i could not deny
gently and carefully, we were talking one to another, just us guys
as if we were old friends reminiscing from some other place and time
for i knew this wasn’t just the dormant portions of my brain firing
and constructing some figment of spiritual existence behind my closed eyes
it was communication real and sublime, void of the confines of this life,
the opposite of synaptic impluses subconsciously soothing my tired mind
there are times when eternity visits us through our dreams and rhymes
with what we’re thinking or enduring and helps us to overcome and rise
above the challenges facing us, even if “reality” says we’re lying

Becoming a great one requires the crossing of many boundaries of discomfort, spiritual ache as in the love for your own children… unyielding without toil.

If you own the past you control the present.

It used to belong to Religion, now Scientists want it. Both are a bit of a worry really.

I must mention this – thought of you today at work…got a call from a guy wanting to make a flight reservation (Nothing glamorous, Denver/Detroit roundtrip), and when I asked his name, he said, “David Neal. N-E-A-L.”

Ok, diff spelling, but I couldn’t speak for a full ten seconds, was too afraid I was gonna laugh!!

You would have thought he’d be booking to Bangkok…..

Maybe we are all animals that accidentally learned how to ignore our “instincts”, “intuition”, whatever it’s called. Don’t know any animals dumb as myself, who’ll continue smoking tobacco for the last two decades, just turned forty winters last january, while knowing the risks involved, when will i learn? Where’s my survival instinct? If i only had the answers.

Let’s blame that woman and the serpent offering up an apple with knowledge of how to harvest tobacco and then roll it up and smoke it.
But look what else was in that apple, recipes for mint juleps, rules for poker and craps, bomb building, etcetera, etcetera; but thank god Rock N Roll was in there too!

Nobody knows anything for sure and the older i get the less it bothers me. Learn to enjoy the journey, should the places of departure and destination be so important? Be aware of the moment the wise will tell you. i will try my best with this human heart and brain within me. “Here and now, boys. Here and now”.

not sure whether it makes a difference to me
    whether life started accidentally
or was created by something or someone
    .
but if it was accidental that life started
I really don’t think that that devalues it
    .
    what more do we need
    than the wonderful adventurous mystery
    of just being alive?
