Oh my god!, sk in his kitchen, where he wrote these words 20 minutes ago, wow!! Is that the possie you write the blogs from??? (it’s the little things in life that make this girl happy!) Nice looking kitchen by the way, the dishes are piling up there though ha ha.
Sk, I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed your essay on rock, wish you wrote a bit more though. So many classic lines that could only come from your warped mind!! (I mean that in the nicest way btw). Only you could get away with calling that Rock God “jimbo”, his “mysterious” and “sexy” image goes out the window when you put it like that!!
Keep those illuminating pics coming ok!
    Love you always,
    Amanda

Wow – that’s some light there Steven! You look good – and um, slightly dazed. Funny, from what little I can see of your kitchen, that’s kind of how I imagined it. Don’t just sit there man, wash those dishes on the sink! 😉
    love,

Thank you – I laughed aloud. With, like – noise and stuff. Very good!!

Wash those dishes Mindfully, now. Or is *that* where it came from?

Yikes! I must be a really bad woman because I thought “damn, that counter looks pretty good!” (good as in relatively tidy). Besides, if you wait until you have a whole pile of dishes to wash them it doesn’t waste as much water. Yeah. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

(where’s an uhoh or shifty smilie when I need it?).

Beautifully reflective blogs the past few days…..Thank you…..”Human history is no more than an ongoing narration of this wondrous drama and you and I are not bit players. According to the wise ones, there are no bit players. Each of us is set upon a hero’s path, each of us is sent by the king to perform the particular task of struggling through countless illusions and compelling temptations to become as holy as is our birthright.” (It’s a Meaningful Life, Bo Lozoff)

Act II Sc. III. Kitchen – Interior
[SK sits at table – pondering]

SK: Hey, God ! If you REALLY are real – why don’t you just send me a sign ???

[Silence. Light gently pours through the kitchen window. SK doesn’t notice. A short time later SK is surfing an internet news page and he suddenly becomes ecstatic and animated]

SK: Oh thank you God !! Oh thank you my sweet Lord !! You really ARE real…Paris Hilton is going to jail !!

    …End of Scene III

But SK, I thought you had only daughters…

Speaking of which, in the car my little Zoë nods like a marionette to The Good, the Bad & the Queen, in thrall to its throbbing Clash dna and restrained electronica. Have you? Would you?

Damon Albarn goes a long way in this to prove he’s no prat. And the album certainly isn’t what the first coupla listens suggest.

    craig1.618 | 6 May 2007 at 7:50 am #

now this is probably really silly and trivial (and maybe kinda creepy too)…….but down on the kitchen counter right now is an organic rice milk container and some coca-cola coffee mugs……an empty bottle of “the green genie” sits in the cabinet (the bottle was much too pretty to discard) and our bamboo plant that sits next to the kitchen window……..robin said bamboo prefers indirect light

yeah, yeah i told you it was silly……..but indeed true……i’ll go take a picture if ya don’t believe me
……to unbalance the equation that is

and one more thing……..the motherland’s queen was in our fair city today taking in the sport of kings………the cross-quarterhorse-ness of our dear festival beltane……….or something like that

    remember ?

I remember Lothian and aphrodisiacs and broken swords and round tables and poison-drifting to the afterlife and jousting and jesting and exile and unconsummated marriages and night disguises and tree-tying and magic pillows and traitors and trysts and tristesse
    and
and looking into your eyes for the first time
    and
    shepherds’ mournful pipes
    in the distance playing
the song of my childhood but never
the one I was waiting for
    and
    and
    …and so on.

Thanks for brightening my morning. When thinking about all I need to do today the sight of the dishes I need to do nearly pushed me over the edge. Suddenly, it doesn’t really seem like that big of a deal.

Oh yeah, Fruit Machine must be read today as well.
