Never can we assume the topic of the next TTB Blog. It is always a mixed bag. 20 cents worth of mixed lollies was such a treat when I was kid. The on tour blogs have somethin else in the mix. I don’t quite know what it is maybe it is the constant travel and the artistic dreams. I’m just glad you are all playing your music and doing your creative thing.

    Sweet Being in Time…

    1. the answer will be, yes…

    2. consider this, northern and southern hemispheres affect much more than currency (and not even that so much these days – i can’t wait for the u.s. to go euro…) like water going down a drain the directional vortexes of the dimensional you… the chakras within ur aura(s) also change their rotational spin. you feel that – and r trying to e m o t i o n a l y work it out. go deep on the breathe man. let it all change.

    3. memisis arrives with a hello. the first time i put it on was at the partA that night at my abode. oddness – cauz it was less musacal – how do i say this without seeming hallmark – you were no more or less guest #– right (t)here right t(here), next to all of us who… i found out later after one of our many interupted conversations, that my girlfriend (girl+friend) Barbara logged onto mem blog to write you about her favorite sex exploit… something about a milky white ass – i think

OK – I am a bit behind – now that SK has his clothes now and all….buuuut…it all reminded me of a little snippet of SK on RAGE Saturday night (they are celebrating 20 years – and playing songs/filmclips from each year – it has been GREAT) – where they re-played Steve introducing Lubricated Goat ‘In the Raw’…and …um…well…that’s exactly what they were…. so, I had a little giggle thinking that SK may have been reduced to that, too!!! he he he…..

Sara Teasdale – I Have Loved Hours At Sea

I have loved hours at sea,
    gray cities,
the fragile secret of a flower,
    music,
    the making of a poem
    that gave me heaven for an hour;

First stars above a snowy hill,
voices of people kindly and wise,
and the great look of love,
    long hidden,
found at last in meeting eyes.

I have loved much and been loved deeply —
Oh when my spirit’s fire burns low,
leave me the darkness and the stillness,
I shall be tired and glad to go.

Also, don’t drop out those things you do in life which are successful in keeping you in prime condition, as you have found things go a bit pear shaped if you don’t. Ive been a fan for 20 years and hope you can find the strength to carry on. I look forward to seeing you again. By the way , the second acoustic cd is fantastic. Elliott

someone did a poor job of getting the word out.

With your vast library and musically continue to impress record after record you guys deserve more, deserve better. Ya gotta me fuckin’ kiddin’ me. Its gotta be that part of the world otherwise your promo guy needs a kick in the ass…no promo guy? Well at least you enjoy what you’re doing.

I’m appalled…If you think you should be playing for larger crowds…guess what…you’re right…Come to Canada, U.S. sometime soon…if you get that kinda reception then the world is just backwards..

    wow !

anyway i was reading a letter nick cave wrote to mtv after he was nominated an award, it reminded me of you and i was thinking to myself thats a collaboration that would be intresting….

    The letter reads:
    LETTER TO MTV
    TO ALL THOSE AT MTV,

I WOULD LIKE TO START BY THANKING YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT YOU HAVE GIVEN ME OVER RECENT YEARS AND I AM BOTH GRATEFUL AND FLATTERED BY THE NOMINATIONS THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FOR BEST MALE ARTIST. THE AIR PLAY GIVEN TO BOTH THE KYLIE MINOGUE AND P. J. HARVEY DUETS FROM MY LATEST ALBUM MURDER BALLADS HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED AND HAS BEEN GREATLY APPRECIATED. SO AGAIN MY SINCERE THANKS.

HAVING SAID THAT, I FEEL THAT IT’S NECESSARY FOR ME TO REQUEST THAT MY NOMINATION FOR BEST MALE ARTIST BE WITHDRAWN AND FURTHERMORE ANY AWARDS OR NOMINATIONS FOR SUCH AWARDS THAT MAY ARISE IN LATER YEARS BE PRESENTED TO THOSE WHO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THE COMPETITIVE NATURE OF THESE AWARD CEREMONIES. I MYSELF, DO NOT. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OF THE OPINION THAT MY MUSIC IS UNIQUE AND INDIVIDUAL AND EXISTS BEYOND THE REALMS INHABITED BY THOSE WHO WOULD REDUCE THINGS TO MERE MEASURING. I AM IN COMPETITION WITH NO-ONE.
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY MUSE IS A DELICATE ONE AT THE BEST OF TIMES AND I FEEL THAT IT IS MY DUTY TO PROTECT HER FROM INFLUENCES THAT MAY OFFEND HER FRAGILE NATURE.

SHE COMES TO ME WITH THE GIFT OF SONG AND IN RETURN I TREAT HER WITH THE RESPECT I FEEL SHE DESERVES – IN THIS CASE THIS MEANS NOT SUBJECTING HER TO THE INDIGNITIES OF JUDGEMENT AND COMPETITION. MY MUSE IS NOT A HORSE AND I AM IN NO HORSE RACE AND IF INDEED SHE WAS, STILL I WOULD NOT HARNESS HER TO THIS TUMBREL – THIS BLOODY CART OF SEVERED HEADS AND GLITTERING PRIZES. MY MUSE MAY SPOOK! MAY BOLT! MAY ABANDON ME COMPLETELY!

SO ONCE AGAIN, TO THE PEOPLE AT MTV, I APPRECIATE THE ZEAL AND ENERGY THAT WAS PUT BEHIND MY LAST RECORD, I TRULY DO AND SAY THANK YOU AND AGAIN I SAY THANK YOU BUT NO…NO THANK YOU.

YOURS SINCERELY, NICK CAVE 21 OCT 96.

“SHE (my muse) COMES TO ME WITH THE GIFT OF SONG AND IN RETURN I TREAT HER WITH THE RESPECT I FEEL SHE DESERVES – IN THIS CASE THIS MEANS NOT SUBJECTING HER TO THE INDIGNITIES OF JUDGEMENT…

THIS TUMBREL – THIS BLOODY CART OF SEVERED HEADS AND GLITTERING PRIZES” – Nick Cave

    who is judging who?

the concept of “my muse” is not as it seems

the flow comes from a Universal, non-personal, un-ownable Source

but to communicate, it must take on a persona tailor-made to meet the needs of whoever needs it

“muse” is a reduction of Spirit to a form designed to assist those to whom it is sent

human beings are a further reduction of Spirit to a dense form where unhealed aspects are given the opportunity to heal

    ultimately
    everything merges
    with the Source

    woven

    like threads of energy

    into the Whole

    we live in pools
    of the source
    contained within
    our skin
    and after it dissolves
    we become
    the loss of
    I
muse is a visitation of inspiration
as with love it cannot be stolen
    nor owned
    well put being here….
and the link food for thought….
I have used infrared sensitive film, and always found it compelling that it does not focus the way areas of “visual” spectrum do, in infrared the light actually focuses ahead of the object instead of directly reflecting (to our eyes) most film cameras have a focusing index to assist with this because otherwise you will only focus on the light you can see and not what is there
