    SK,

I have just received ULTC and I am mesmerized. It’s definitely familiarly Church-esque yet it’s completely different than all the other albums that have come before. Even the most upbeat song seems to contain notes of beautiful melancholy while the sadder songs still retain glimpses of happiness. Such intricate, gorgeous melodies and lyrics. And, of course, that voice. Thank you and the rest of the band for creating more beauty and art for your humble listeners.

    tp & sk,

Old bobby stinson won’t let first ave go without a fight. I can see his ghost jumping around in a dress with no underpants to some horribly played iron maiden riff in the womens capri section of the new gap store that will sit on the corner of 1st and 7th.

I thought your guthrie theatre show was pretty good too. Last time seeing the Ploog.

Got my “signed” copy of ULTC yesterday. But it is missing one autograph, Mr Kilbey – yours!

    Aaah, disappointment just doesn’t care. . . . . . .

    Dear Baybeys,

    Got your new masterpiece.
    Just wanted to thank U.
Will play it when I can,
‘Cause there’s so much to do in life…
    Such as painting for example.
    Most of the time.
    Poetry, painting & art lettering…
All that is my trade now.
Maybe an illustrated book of poetry soon, who knows ?…
    That’d be great…

I know that sounds cliché but
Hope to see U somewhere in France.
    Wherever U like, I don’t mind…
But U can rely on me : I’ll go & see U somehow.
Talking about painting & poetry with U Steve,
    Must be fascinating…

    Amour & Fidèlité,

    Malika

your day seems to be busy, must concentrate on the bizz….escape you will; some scenery to appease the grind; whatever to calm the mind; remind self of what is ahead; family, friends more theta to shed; constant create is to escape the now as it pulls one ahead; thankyou for the songs, the smiles, the time u spend to enrich our lives. I’ve been a long time tantalized….ML
