Sorry for your sadness, you have some great memories of your recent trip to think back on that should cheer you up. Happy to hear your daughter is ok and you got to be there for a little while. Its nice that you and MWP got to spend some time together as well. Get home safe and rest.

Thanks for a great gig. I was #124 to get into the place with a limit of 120. 🙂
Did I hear You promis “a proper gig soon”?
    Found this on Youtube.
I guess half the people on the gig have summer houses in the countryside of Sweden.
We could have arranged a vacation tour all over the country…

I’m sure each and every one of us knows exactly how you are feeling right now…but there are special people in our lives that never ever leave our hearts…
I have no doubt that your heart Steve is pretty damn big
so,…you can return home knowing that your family must have loved you being there at this crucial time as sad as it is to leave for the time being!

Made me turn my head and sigh heavily. I thought that was all I could say till I remembered I should say I went to Vivid tonight with a friend of yours who is such a lovely person. We wondered all round the quay and into the little old stone room with your bright installation and saw Miranda’s name in lights and kept wandering and talking. Probably bored her to death but she was so patient and such a good listener and I didn’t mind at all listening to her and it’s sunday now. By the time you get here, you won’t know if you’re arthur or martha but may the bondi sea breeze be some kind of balm.

Safe travels, Steve. At least you’ll be back in Australia with your other daughters. Wish I could’ve attended you and Marty’s concert yesterday. Too bad you guys will probably never be back in Denmark/Copenhagen again what with my countrymen’s bad taste in music. I’ll never forget your concert at Little Vega in 2007. What a night!

    travel well steven
there is still family and friends
and loads of music back home in aus
maybe even an absence from that for a short while
    will renew the perspective
and ignite another round of creation
    beyond what you usually possess
    (and that’s saying something)

    Imagination climbing up the walls
Remembering a little of my first fall
Reality feels liquid in my broken hands
Thoughts take off in flight but to never land
Memories for me just seem to come and go
It seems that I recall a brilliant show
Striking swirling colors that I used to know
Now have become a dull never-wrecking glow.

What a lovely daughter. Double take…you both have the piercing eyes.

“Cut in Two” is one of my favorites; every note is precisely where it should be. I doubt anyone would agree, but to me it is actually the epitome of jazz, or what I think jazz should be. And, it is one that I didn’t like very much the first couple of times I heard it. I would imagine it describes how you have felt many times in your life?

Home again, home again, jiggidy jog.

Have a nice flight. I´m planning to spend 16 days in August visiting China and four important cities there. There´s only one -big- problem: I hate planes. So I´ll take pills or I dont know how the fuck I´m gonna make it.
Sweden is good but Australia must be good too! Pity is sooo far away.

    China, I saw your sister..on the Nile…

    Hi sk,

Hope the flight home wasn’t too bad and u managed to get a bit of shut eye.
I’m sure the girls feel the same when they leave oz.
Hoping Miranda has a quick recovery sending the positive healing vibes to her.

Saw the Vivid installation last wk. Brillant job, congrats to u both.
Could spend ages reading it, managed to find afew choice words including sk bondi sydney and some musos. Loved the music, was a busy stream of people coming in, wanted to enjoy the ambience of the moment alone for a minute but twas not to be. Loved it, a Vivid highlight (beat the girl projected climbing the opera house sails hands down fer sure).

Don’t know if you’ve heard of a Danish photographer Soren Solkaer Starbird,
he had an exhibition book launch last wk called CLOSER. He photographs musos and rock bands (great pics incl Amy Winehouse & Arcade Fire), really enjoyed meeting him and seeing the photos. Goyte was there and met him, seems a nice guy.

Glad the gig with Marty went well, would have loved to have been there.

Hope u get over the jet lag quickly.

    Peace & love

oh, these words broke my already broken heart again. Leaving the loved ones is one of the hardest things in life and leaving children is without words. While writing this I’m thinking of my kids and the strange paths in my life, which seperated me from them….and I can’t help, but again tears run down….wish you all the best, you and your family!
