whatever quirks of fate had you sitting for hours on that bus

it is truly to your credit that have managed so brilliantly NOT to waste your time

that is a lovely little film

and, as for slowing down, you're right

you see so much more don't you?

(the blue cranes in your song were probably brolgas)

my weekend began and ended on unusually high notes

Time is slowing down for me or is it accelerating? No longer thinking of zeitgeist, I grab my Steve Kilbey
suit and electronica, my soy latte and imaginary mescaline and wait for the bus. I prefer to travel by thought and I remember a different time. Thanks for taking us on an ineffable ride of your world.

Never realized before how much of an inspiration Pet Sounds was on this particular song.

Last night I dreamed that you were honored with a songwriting award… as my dreams are usually right…anything you haven't told us?

And I also need to thank you….on some days, your blog is the most art I get on a hectic day. And as I work on fixing up my husband's bachelor house, (complete with hockey jersies on the wall) I ponder your words or your photos and sometimes this makes me think and other times smile. Either way…blissful.

    Thank you Steven!

Around 1998, back when I was still making mixtapes, I was transferring some SK tracks from CD to tape using a cheap cd player & a boombox (no fancy equipment). A moment of beautiful synergy happened when "Napoleon's Army, Christmas Eve, Outside Moscow" was starting to fade, and "Happy Endings" came up like I had crossfaded the two tracks together. It was such a perfect union. Those two songs were made for each other.

i bought vinyl earthed in 1989 in townsville visiting my olds and taped it on a technics stereo i co-bought with my brother for their 25th anniversary. That tape got me back to sydney on a deluxe bus. Just watching the land race past on the bus was much like what you yourself are doing here. Neat
