Your video editing skills have come a long, long way. I thought I was watching a David Lynch film for a moment.
Ominous red (joy) dust!
Can't sleep. Nightmare fuel…..
Another great tune!!! Why don`t the Church make music like this anymore I wonder??!!!
i've outrun sandstorms on a camel in the arabian desert, but i've gotta say it looks out of place in the city…
Looks like the end of the world down there.
If you see a cloud of locusts hanging about, I'd suggest leaving town for a couple days…
The Perfect Dust Storm!I lived in Phoenix, AZ oncefor a little…while and enjoyedthe same…Deliciousness!!!!
Another Freaky Video….
Live Long and Prosper SK 🙂
Wow…in the name of the father, the sun and the holy spirit may the joy of orange dust be with you forever and always…Jasperina.
Brilliance but Joy dust !
Mate that was a shocking day, i still have a cough from breathing a pound of dirt on every beath,
Great idea to get some footage though and yes great song
That was fabulust!
ps didnt expect to share our magic dust with you in Bondi!
I agree with ET, I think your editing skills are brilliant. I also own a mac pro and I'm in absolute awe of your multi-talents. I mean a vid and song all by yourself pretty much in a day or two, now thats incredible, who else does that! This is the best blog I have ever seen, read and listened to. I also noticed that you get about the same number of comments as stephen fry's blog, which I think says alot, considering he has the second highest amount of tweeter follower's in the world after obama. Thank you so much for this blog and universe of entertainment.Great song great vid loved it! *****love MB
Your greatest video yet – looked really good. This song and the song you posted for the Another Day Another Song blog are my favorites so far out of the songs you've been posting lately.
Please tell me you have an external hard drive and time machine – don't ever lose this. One of my biggest ever fantasies was to one day program rage and I would definitely want to play this, it rocks!
What do you bet someone is going to bust your chops for running and jumping around in the street? "Lame, lame, lame! You're not a kid, get the hell out of the street. And for god's sake, put some shoes on! A man your age should never show his naked feet! Yuck!"
Of course you know what comments such as that mean, don't you? They mean you should make sure to do the offending behaviour even more!! 😀
Oh, and I like the song too. 🙂
Pryce Surplice '91 = Kilbey and barrage band '09
Such flippant parlay might sound condescending.
it ain't, not from me at least.
another frost production (jack).
solid…and for the books.
I fucking love this song and the clip, can you make it available so I can buy it. I listened to it 15 times already. Could this be the beginning of SK the film director and everything else. This changed my day I was in bed depressed all day now I want the world and everything it has to offer.Thank you SK
Should you ever decide to commit ‘file under travel’ to vid, then I'm sure some of this footage would be just right!
Had briefly heard about the sandstorm in your part of the world, apparently the worst in seven decades, but I don't tend to watch news programmes as they're too full of BAD news. However, if we had a roving reporter like you SK, it would be a different matter altogether!
Wild day, wild video, great song sk More pleeeeeeease:)
knew you would be taking full advantage of the duststorm and have been eagerly awaiting the results……stirling, swirling stuff steve.what a blast!
Another day, another song? You should live my life: another day, another depression!Even flids are happier than me.
looks great, but put more "norks" in it!
this one's a gem!! i had heard about the dust storm down there. glad everyone's ok.
Steve, that had me enthralled. The music, the words and the images. Best of all it was topical, relevent and kinda scary (climate change n all).
Thank you, fabulous and in the groove.
yep, this one's excellent. freaky conclusions future edition.

just like the old dayswhen the world was sepiabefore black and white and long before colour
Wow!!! Someone’s already said amazing…aye, an awesome song AND video!
A song and video almost every day…hmmm, do folks get angry when you come to visit and leave songs all over the furniture? “I see Steve’s been here today; this sofa is covered in songs again.” ;-D
Thou art an amazing being. xoxo ♥ ♠
you know i had a feeling you were doing something with the dust going on there, how funny is that, cause its something i would have done myself lol, you are awesome and thats a cool ass video! very talented!!!
Shit…just compile your September blogs and you have a ready-to-go followup to "Painkiller." Low overhead, dawg!
Yikes! I wouldn't exactly use the word "joy" to describe a dust storm, but it looks like you're having fun (especially like the heel-click jump).
While I've experienced my share of earthquakes (they scare me half to death), fire, torrential rain, floods, etc., I've never had the "joy" of being in a dust storm. Take care down there.
digging that tune
An infectios song. I was praying that SK and the mynah birds would survive the dust storm (that was extensively covered on American TV.) Plaudits SK.
Steve – I'd like to fly you and your camera to San Diego when fire season kicks off next week.
No escape, Martian landscape
Wow, what a stunning image with you holding your head wearing that red tee, the saturated yellow sky and bending palm tree. Really loved Joy Dust too.Have you heard the Fluorescent Grey EP by Deerhunter yet? You might enjoy that.
…when the elements collide
i was just talking about duststorms just last night.I'd heard it rained red in the ancient world from a red sandstorm…
looks like your ancient world song was a premonition….freaky
What a cool video, thanks Steve! I knew you'd say something about the crazy dust storm, but didn't expect a whole song'n'dance 🙂 The Internet Age suits you well.
Praise be! My copy of Kilbey-Kennedy arrived today from cdbaby.com (lowest retail price I could find).
It's still in the plastic, but over the phone eek told me it's "lovely."
My Kilbey-meter says this song is over the top among your best. And the video matches it. The thing I like most from your solo work is that each song has something different to enjoy. Thanks God for Kilbey.
thanks for blowin away those cob webbs again say hello to the kookaburughs for me
great song…hope you didn't breathe in too much of the joy dust though.
only dust knows
I like these songs.None of them have middle 8's,I hope at least one Sep music month song has one.I love a clever middle 8 even more than a lovely chorus, which all of yours are..lovely.
Man – why didn't I hear about this storm?Looks like you'll never have to hire video crew – you have enough energy to make music video for every song you wrote.Your t-shirt makes me want to send you a t-shirt.
Great pic. It was very weird to wake up to that dust storm, scary. Can't comment on the vid as can't see them.
Finished "No Certainty Attached".It saves you from doing your Autobiography. Felt guilty reading about so many very personal things. Thought it took a lot of courage from you to give the ok.Some things about the Church I didn't know and was surprised to read. It is amazing the band is still together, but very thankful you are. Would love to see Ploogy make a surprise guest appearance one day, he certainly was/is a character.
Been a long time between gigs sk, hope Sydley isn't crossed off the gig list.
Peace & love Therese
I watched a satellite image of the dust storm and a slide show on the internet. Freaky….. cool song and video.
I have to get me one of those computers. Funny how you went from Ancient World into a freak dust storm. What the heck is going on on this planet.
as a few others have said – that was well edited, as a long time reader i don't like the change to video in the blog (like you give a fuck eh?) but i'm glad you are mastering it – i stll keep a copy of extracts your blogs of 18.05.08 and 13.11.08 printed out and in view as motivation and it seems you practice what you preach 🙂
bugger…..the song froze at 1:54 but what i saw and heard of it was unreal……i think this is something approaching what the skies over the aplocalypse would look like…..another dust storm today but not as bad…..love always…..
excuse me, but how can you be so good at EVERYTHING!!!!??
this looks amazing, can't wait to listen to this properly 😀 at the airport right now awaiting a flight to Sydeney for a wonderful week's holiday .. hopefully in the sunshine!!! valium and red wine really does calm the nerves pre-flight .. wooo
well done SK!!!!
What have you conjured up down there, Steve? Bring it on. Bring it down. down. to this sphere. we'll know fear. yeah it's for reel. can't you just hear. in the wind. in the dust. we must go bust.
there is bark in my teeth and i can not , for the life of me see the trees…can anybody tell me…where the fuck is ploog at?
I keep coming back to watch this over and over. I think it's my favorite so far this month.
You deserve big subscription $$$ Mr. Kilbey.
Thanks for your joy dust! I saw it here in Seattle by the pink slit of luna… You never told me you had red clay under your feet until now!!
Your vids make me smile lots.
just for the record. spending 15 years to get a script on the CBS networkwhich may be leading up to this this Super Bowl Schedule?
waiting for the SUPERBOWL SCHEDULEis easy…..once the show hits the fan/fans
I am the Church Fan that is fighting for film/t.v music and will not relent.
We will change things in 2010always,DK
Silently feel so much cloud under my feet through you sound I remember being complete. g r a t i t u d e means god came through you're channel and slapped me into breath
You kill me.
All v good.
SK, why are the horns on Tantalized so low in the mix? Was that the band's idea or the producer's? When they're that inaudible they might as well not be there at all.
Stay fresh, SK.
It is fabulous SK and I love it. I don't really have anything else to say. Thanks again.
Awesome video, Steve!
