I guess “Minna” is short for “Minna’d ya own bizness !” and “Elli” is short for “Elegant !” these days.

Good to see you wearing a shameless self-promotion t-shirt in that second shot. ;>

Family and friends…I can almost see the huge smile in your words today! Minna the fringe dweller’s got the sleep thing down pat, just like my teens, and that ‘I told you not to take me’ look. Elli looks so content with her dad acting out the ‘protective father’ bit. Gorgeous girls. Must take after their mum ha ha 🙂
Slay’em with your bass and presence Steve. Mustn’t seem like work at all! You must be positively radio-active right now.

Steve seems to have a very nice daughter. Kilbey and Jeff Beck are my two vegetarian heroes. They both stay in great shape and prove that mankind does not need to kill and eat animals, birds and fishies. It must be said that Gandhi is the ultimate vegetarian icon. He could not sing like Steve or have killer riffs like Jeff Beck. Happy for Steve Kilbey.

    Apropos of nothing…

It seems the “Tap” will play ‘Live Earth’ at Wembley this July.

    Their press release said:
“Nigel (Tufnel) has been raising miniature horses to race, but can’t find jockeys small enough to ride them; David (St.Hubbins) is now a hip-hop producer who also runs a colonic clinic; and Derek (Smalls) is in rehab for addiction to the internet.”

Great pics, Steve! You are such a proud papa! I hope one day I get to experience fatherhood too. Your daughters are quite stunning. Good genes, eh? Yeah, that photo of you and Elli is awesome. You kind have that “warm, but don’t even think about it” look that would scare the shit out of any potential suitor for your girls…and rightfully so. They better treat them right!

Like my buddy/bass player (in our little group) Lenny Magnifico, also 52 (yes, that is his real name) says to any guy who started dating his daughters: “Look, I just want you to know that I am not stupid, deaf or blind. I was once your age, and I know what goes on in that little noggin of yours. I don’t have a problem with you dating my girl because she obviously likes you. BUT, I also want to stress the importance of you respecting my little girl. NEVER EVER force her to do things she doesn’t want to, or shouldn’t do, including but not limited to: sex, hard drugs and alcohol, and never ever drive her anywhere while you are intoxicated. I know there will be times when you kids are going to party or whatever, but DON’T fuck up. Believe me, kid, I know what to look for and you do not want to cross that line. Because if you do…If you hurt my daughter or jeopardize my daughters life or health in general I don’t give a fuck about your Daddy, I don’t give a fuck about your mommy, their lawyer, your big brothers, the school principal, the fucking cops, FBI, NO ONE…your ass is MINE!” Then he pats them on the back and says, “OK, now that we got that out of the way, take care of yourselves and have fun. So what are your plans for the evening?”
HA! (oh and incidentally, he swears up and down that he has absolutely NO ties to the mob either!) Although that is our running “joke.”

Ah…I love that guy. He’s one of those big sweethearts you just don’t want to piss off, coz if you do…”fuggetaboudit”! just like my dad too for that matter!

Anyway, glad to see you in good spirits. Hope the rest of the tour is awesome. Take care and thanks again for sharing. You rock.
    With love and respect,

Beayuutifull daughters, Time Being. Love the shot of Elli and her protective rockah pop guarding against disingenuous potential young suitors; beware the protective force-shield of the TB.

Sooo..what would you be looking for in a prospective suiter of one of your daughters? Let’s see…vegan, impeccable morals, well-read, gentlemanly, straight as 6:00 (????) or an afficianado of mind-altering substances (haven’t worked that one out yet, haven’t spent afficianado correctly, I don’t think), knows how to keep his hands to himself, etc, etc, etc…

Nevets, fanatastic pics of you with the Twillies, must have been wonderful seein them again, brief as it was. Makes me feel that I take for granted, having my teenage daughter around me 7 days out of 14. You must miss em heaps.

Considering all the hard yakka of driving 000’s of km’s, gig after gig, + eating food you would normally avoid, you’re lookin fucking great!!

All the best for the rest of Europe & England.

Hi, my name is Johanna Nyrén and I have a twinsister called Ellen.
We used to be friends with Ellie and Minna when we were like three. Then we moved and have never spoke since. We weren’t friends that long but I have some lovely photographs with us 4 dressed up in princessdresses.

I think it would be fun to talk to them again so I wonder if you could give them my emailadress?

Sorry for my english, unlike them I don’t have the english in my blood 🙂

    those beautiful daughters and
    the druid sitting next them
    is quite the looker
suitors should have all the qualities,
    as desired
    being for one
    straight as 6 o clock
    those with good morals
will not fail or be afraid to correct
themselves when they stray from the path
    listening to guidance from above
they will find themselves in truth
    with Faith and Love
so when some get to say, college age
    they may test the water
twice with one spirit so loved the face did not matter
    long ago
    whilst learning to sail
    or experiment with drugs
having a wise father they would not do anything
    be certain of that
I hear the London and Brighton shows
are gonna burn the house down
    bringing match books
    burning brightly into the night
    read by candle light
    poetry in motion
as the good restaurant dude said
    please baby please
    come to my window
    give you three wishes
and all that I have to share
we’ll travel by moon sun and sky
    like stars
