That may be my favorite one off the new album. It's got balls and walks.

Next song-blogge, play that thing man! Let's hear the latest from that fertile mind of yours.

    Yesterday's poem was great.

    Thanks.

    Untitled #23 – it's crap, innit?
Deadman's Hand, the only good song – but a very close cousing to Ricochet.
Happenstance – great opening verse but after that it's a really tedious no-song.
The rest of em – boring, poorly structured, inadequately arranged, extremely weak melodically and sonically.
The so-called 'real' singing you've supposedly adopted – inadvisable and, at times, downright painful.
The poorest, most unsatisfying Church album since MATS. And at least that had the saving grace of Comedown.
No wonder the critical acclaim failed to translate into sales.
    I'm glad I downloaded it.

What a unique rendition of yet another fantastic song. No one could ever accuse you of having the ‘passion of a rock!’ Was kind of worried you might fall of the chair at one point too, so the ‘motion of a statue’ certainly wouldn't describe you either. Just make sure you stick to playing the guitar rather than rafting with it!!! xx

Wow…I don't know what was scarier…watching you get freaky to my favorite song off the album or the realization that I have been freaking out the same EXACT way every time I toke up and blast Anchorage as well!

Truly a monumental song. It's a crime you guys never played it this tour!

    Hello Steve,

Michael from the "City of Angeles" here. Anchorage has been playing non-stop in my car and my MP3 player since I bought it back at the Roxy. This song is absolutely brilliant. My favs have always been "My Little Problem", "Grind", "Priest=Aura" but from the moment I first played this song, it has captured me. It sends me to a different dimension. Thank you Killer !!

one of the Ü23 songs i sussed much much later…it's Louisiana's rusty, older brother. How come Church songs with town names (Buffalo, Lou, Anchorage) always sound so beautifully melancholically fucked up. A wonderful geographic trilogy. Next album: how much do I have to pay you to record the yet-non-existing songs "Hammerfest" and "Jyväskylä"?

Ok, doesn't quite make up for you

guys not playing it on the US tour

but that was $ none the less.

In my world IL has lost it's lead

guitarist due to too many "real"

life commitments. He was holding us

back so we are moving onwards and

upwards without him. I think in the

long run it will be a blessing for

Awesome, thank you. What a wonderful song off that album; the best one. Would also love to hear an older acoustic one and a walk around your house and look out the door onto Australia.

I'm off to a pagan festival for the week, in the heat. I'll be bringing plenty of Church music to dance around the bonfire to. I'll miss tuning in to this blog for my time gone.

I don't get it, that's just plain dumb.
Honestly I can't watch it, ..embarrassment.
What would the others in the band think of you being such a goose like that?
It’s your own fucken song , do what you like but the title (wank) doesn’t redeem the post grad uni review humour.

OK, so I get that you don’t always take yourself or your art seriously but why completely blow any mystique you may ever have had, and if that’s the point, big deal.
    Again , embarrassment.

A few negative comments for this one, but not from me.
I thought it was imaginative and brilliant!
I think I would have run out of enthusiasm and creativity by the end if i were to try and sing something like that with so much expression.

I take it this vid has been removed? Personally loved it. 2 years later, came back for a revisit… then saw the negative comments. Ha, ha… wow, I thought the impromptu take actually added to the Kilbey mystique. I went straight to iTunes and bought the song after watching it. Oh well, keep rockin’ it SK.
